Fab Friday - Drypoint Landscapes - 5th June 2026

In this session we will be making a simple drypoint plate that can be inked up and printed intaglio through the etching press. Please bring along an A5 image of a landscape from which you would like to use to create a drypoint.

Drypoint is an easy technique to get to grips with and is a great method if you would like to take your drawings into print. It’s easier than etching as it requires less specialist equipment and no chemicals or acids. We will be using Drypoint Plastic as it is easy to draw into and a drawing can be traced through it! We will be scratching an image into the plastic. These lines create a burr that holds ink.

Inks and some papers are provided. Suitable for all - experienced or not.
