Low Tech Lithography with Karen Carter - Thurs 18th June 2026

A fun session experimenting with different forms of low-tech lithography. 

We will be using high contrast laser/photocopies and polyester paper as our printing plates… a process that produces great prints from drawn images. You don’t have to be able to draw – we will trace, transfer and use images supplied by the tutor (or you can bring your own), leaving you free to experiment, layer and play with this versatile process. 

We can print onto all manner of substrates using these techniques, from traditional printing papers to textiles and collaged & painted grounds - perfect for a multitude of projects!

No press needed – great for printing by hand at home… all you need is a big apron and a wooden spoon!

Karen is an enthusiastic and experienced artist and tutor specialising in printmaking and acrylics. Having studied design and illustration, she worked for many years as a commercial artist before concentrating on her own work. Read more about Karen on her website: karencarterart.co.uk
